Task 1d- Images

A question for all BAPP students...

I have been doing my research for the best way to promote myself professionally via social networking sites here are the sites I am considering.
Wixs, linkin, instagram, flickr, facebook page.

I have started forming a professional website using Wixs- on this I can upload my CV, performance videos/ showreels and images in albums such as headshots, movement shots and performance images. The benefits of using a website is so all of the information is in one place, sending the link of my website to auditions means they can she all the information they need in a professional portal. Disadvantages to a Wixs website is that people cannot comment on the site to offer advice and it is a private link.

I also began forming a professional Instagram account separate from my personal account. I can upload many images and videos onto this platform where people can 'like' and 'comment' on my media. Instagram also has a 'scroll' or 'news feed' so I can constantly be promoting myself without people having to actively search me or click on a link to view my profile! For me, i know most mornings I scroll through my Instagram so it would be quicker and more likely I would promote myself professionally more regularly on here.
Circo Tihany has a Instagram account, they post on it daily and use it to showcase the radio/TV promotion in the mornings and then 'live' of parts of the performance. If a audience member shares a photo of them watching the show and tags Circo Tihany then they are showing all of their friends their experience and creating a direct link for their friends to see what Circo Tihany has to offer as a show through social media!

I think in conclusion I will use the Wix's account to send via emails for auditions and use my Instagram as a more informal way to show people my work. I will post links at a later date :)
Any thoughts would be most appreciated!
